…and We Enter the South…

Greetings,

Our tour went from nice and relaxing to all sorts of craziness and confusion as delays, weather and traffic all combined to make sure that we arrived to our show in Pilot Mountain just as our time slot was up. We played a venue called Livin’ Latte’s, a faith-based coffee house that hosts all kinds of shows. All the other bands, including our friends in The Yellow Team, put on high-energy performances that rocked the house.

After the show was over, we were invited back to John, the owner’s, house to camp, but rain quickly changed our plans. The Brown Eye was a champ at maneuvering up the hill, but we ended up having to push the Yellow Team’s van up a hill that had turned into an uncooperative mud-pit. Luckily, John came to the rescue and let us crash in the venue for the night.

Tonight, we are playing another show with the Yellow Team and Sirens of the Sea at the same venue. Its nice not to have to drive and still be able to play a show, but its even more welcoming when good people help us out on the road.

Cheers,
Jami/Aaron/Joe/Booch/Pat/Mark

p.s. Check out Livin’ Latte’s at   http://www.myspace.com/livinlattescafe  . They are great people who really care about musicians. Much appreciation to Jon and his staff for all their help, we will definitely look to come back again soon.
