We have successfully moved from the South to the Deep South. After another show at Livin’ Latte’s in Pilot Mountain, we ran all over Knoxville, Tennessee, looking for a last-minute show opportunity. While Knoxville definitely had the best beards we’ve seen on tour thus far, they didn’t have any open shows; so, we decided to head on down to Dalton, Georgia, where we crashed in a Wal-Mart parking lot.
While in Dalton, we had the opportunity to hang out with some of the locals at Track 8 Studios and made some new friends when the other bands 50:50 Shot and Project 27. After some Kan Jam and some well-concealed alcohol we were all ready for a rock show.
The Venue has been the best place, by far, that we have played on tour. A bunch of kids came out and were going crazy for the entire show. The owner, Sousie, is truly a southern bell who treats musicians like humans and not cash cows. After the show we had to bid farewell to the our short-time tour-mates, the Yellow Team, and made the hour and a half drive to Atlanta, where 50:50 shot gracefully offered their apartment for us to spend the night and recoup for our show at WonderRoot in Atlanta.
We’ve got all day to kick around Hot-lanta, so we’ll have all sorts of stories for everyone a little later. Till then, check out all of the bands we’ve mentioned and head over to kanjam.com!
Cheers,
