Endive Goes (Mid)West

It has been another eventful couple of days for your friends in Endive.

Sunday night, the Hits put on a show in Knoxville, Tennessee at a venue called the Longbranch Saloon. While the bar may have looked like something you might find in a horror movie, it turned out to be an awesome venue for rock and ska bands alike. New Urban Sprawl and The Risk got the party started and everybody moving. We’re pumped that we get to play with these guys in a few days in Morris, IL. All the kids who came out for the show were awesome. They didn’t stop moving for the entire show, even as Stereohype and The Hits brought the house down.

Both The Hits and Stereohype are two of our most memorial bands that we’ve met thus far on tour. The Hits are great dudes that really know how to party and Stereohype is one of the tightest and most entertaining band we’ve played with on tour. We wish that we could have stayed for the after-party, but we had a 10 hour drive from Knoxville, TN to our next stop St. Louis MO.

While is St. Louis, we met some more awesome people and made some new friends. Firstly, the guys in Cake Eater were gracious enough to help us out and get us showered and presentable. The show we played, was in a new venue called B Natural Studios. The soon-to-be recording studio/performance space is already great, but owner let us see some of the plans that will surely make it one of St. Louis’s premier music locations. Everyone that came out to the show went nuts and had a great time. We even got to crash in the venue for the night… which is always welcomed compared to Wal-Mart parking lots.

We will definitely be coming back to Knoxville and St. Louis as soon as possible!

This morning, we hit the road to Indianapolis where a bar called Locals Only holds an open band night every Wednesday. Its just getting under way and looks like we’ll get to hear all sorts of interesting and diverse acts. We’ll let you know how everything turns out tomorrow…

Until then…Cheers,
Mark/Aaron/Joe/Booch/Jami/Pat
