This past weekend was spent with all sorts of friends and old familiar faces.
On Thursday night, we played for the SUNY Fredonia Women’s Student Union’s annual fundraiser. We played a healthy mix of our newer originals and female-inspired covers, including “She Has a Girlfriend Now” of course.
Saturday night was spent with our good friends in Don’t Ask. We played a new internet cafe called Ben’s. When we showed up, it looked like we would hardly fit in the corner that was designated for bands. What do we do when we can’t fit somewhere? We make something that will fit us. We cleaned up the bottom floor and built a railing for the stairwell all in a little over an hour.
The show itself was awesome! I Am Brave opened the night with their brand of hardcore, metal and pop-punk. These guys put on an awesome show. We’ll definitely be bringing them up to Syracuse very soon. Don’t Ask brought the house down as always, playing a brand new song, a TI cover and their usual melodic and catchy songs. We had a blast at this show. Thanks to Jimmy for putting it on!
After the show, we partied at a few of Don’t Ask’s old haunts. We ended up in some college dance club where raced scorpion bowls, had a dance off and remained undefeated in flipcup.
We could tell you more, but we’ll just wait until Wednesday when the video comes out. Stay tuned!!!!
See you next weekend,
